Teaching History
As a tango dancer and teacher, Rosa Corisco is highly regarded for her emphasis on body awareness, connection, and musicality. She has dedicated many years to developing
a deeper understanding of the dynamics of dance and movement.
A native of Spain, Rosa has taught Argentine Tango since 2004, traveling extensively throughout North America and Europe. She is one of the most dynamic tango teachers
of her generation. Rosa is a prominent tango instructor and dancer in the San Francisco/Bay Area currently based in New York City. Her classes and workshops are well known for their creative exploration and innovative approach to teaching tango’s fundamental movements.
Students are encouraged to develop attentive knowledge of the body, as well as how to bring individual expression and interpretation to the music and dance.
Rosa also offers Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® training.
